Video Annotation
Video jobs are treated simiarly to image jobs in that you can annotate frames of a video much like you would annotate separate images.
However, we also provide a few features to speed up that process, including a video frame carousel with the option to persist annotations across multiple frames:
Using the carousel, you can see:
- Video Previews: Use the play and fast forward buttons to play the video directly in the canvas. A blue progress bar will track the current frame as the video plays.
- Annotation Timelines and Persistance: see which annotations are present in each frame and across frames. Each bar above the frame carousel represents an annotation “sequence” - indicating an object being tracked across multiple frames. The position and length of the colorful bar indicate the frames in which that annotation is present.
Creating a Sequence
- First create a single annotation
- Hover over the colored part of the bar. The bar will expand slightly and a dragging symbol should appear on the left or right sides of the bar. Drag the bar to the left or right to apply that annotation across multiple frames.
- While the annotations are being applied, the bar will pulse, indicating a loading state. Once all annotations have been created, the stretched bar will become solid.
- Once you have persisted an annotation across multiple frames, you can go into each frame and adjust the position of the annotation to follow the position of the object.
